Bass Fishing's Junior World Champions to be Crowned August 16 in Conjunction With Forrest Wood Cup (PR Newswire via Yahoo! Finance) The Bass Federation announced Tuesday its field for the 2008 National Guard Junior World Championship on Lake Monticello in Columbia, S.C., Aug. 15-16 in conjunction with the $2 million Forrest Wood Cup presented by BP and Castrol - the world's most lucrative bass-fishing championship.

FISHING REPORT (Las Vegas Review-Journal)• LAKE MEAD -- Anglers are finding good striper action using a variety of baits and techniques. Jigging and still-fishing with cut bait are taking fish from 33 Hole to the Vegas Wash inlet. Two fish weighing in at 8 and 9 pounds were reeled in from the area over the weekend.
